**JOB DESCRIPTION**

As an AVP - Payments Transactions Lawyer within the J.P. Morgan Payments Legal team, you will provide critical legal support across APAC jurisdictions. You will work closely with a collegial team to navigate the intersection of banking and technology, ensuring compliance and facilitating growth in a fast-paced environment.

Our team supports a wide range of services including cash management, liquidity, and merchant services. We are at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technologies like blockchain and AI into our operations, offering you a unique opportunity to be part of transformative projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide legal support and advice on transactional matters across APAC.
- Review, negotiate, draft, and finalize contracts with clients and partners.
- Coordinate with global legal teams on cross-border legal issues.
- Manage relationships with outside counsel.

**Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proactive team player with a positive attitude.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Effective communicator with senior executives.
- Ability to manage projects end-to-end.

**Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills**:

- Experience in bank financing and structured trade transactions.
- Mandarin proficiency is advantageous, as the role may involve engaging with clients based in Greater China.
