**About the Role**:
We are hiring on behalf of our esteemed banking client for a **Transaction Monitoring Lead**position. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to lead critical anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions functions while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and provide guidance to the Transaction Monitoring and Sanctions team.
- Oversee daily operations of the Transaction Monitoring and Sanctions function and monitor the aging status of alerts.
- Conduct Level 2 reviews of corporate and STORMS alerts.
- Review and validate responses for production orders and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).
- Perform sample testing on commercial bank alerts and quarterly tests on Accuity (trade financing) alerts.
- Conduct annual reviews of transaction monitoring parameters and thresholds.
- Review gap analyses, business/exception/extension memos, and other documentation prepared by team members.
- Assist in preparing reports for management, Head Office, and regulatory bodies.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections or requests.
- Review AML policies and procedures, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance.
- Deliver AML-related training and share updates with team members during regular meetings.
- Disseminate regulatory updates from relevant authorities, including STRO.
- Undertake other projects as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity within a bank in Singapore.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of local rules and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Must be a hands-on individual with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
