Singapore ELEMENT GEOTECHNICAL TESTING (S) PTE. LTD. Full time

Element has an opportunity for a **Helmsman/Steersman **to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various sites across Element, the **Helmsman/Steersman **position performs a variety of routine and non-routine assignments within the site assigned and insures timely and accurate monitoring results under direct supervision
- Boat navigation and overall in charge of vessel
- Maintain government-issued certifications as required
- Take instructions from Management and to inform office of any problems arising during daily operations
- Any other responsibilities as instructed by the Management
- Overall in-charge of boat with general housekeeping, upkeep condition and seaworthiness.
- Port Limit Steersman Certificate (Valid Manning Licence from MPA).
- Minimum three years of ferry boat experience in harbour boat.
- Must be familiar with MPA regulations/procedures.
- Able to perform job safely at all sites.
- Follow and adhere to any new legislation submitted via port circular and implement into boat handling activities
- Ability to think ahead and follow through on instructions.
- Maintain and service boat’s engine
- Maintain proper housekeeping on boats
- The Helmsman/Steersman is responsible for ferrying work personnel and work equipment from work jetty to work area in Pulau Tekong as well as around Pulau Tekong.

**Requirement**
- MPA Helmsman /Steersman (Port Limit) / MPA SR license or equivalent
- Pass an approved eyesight tes
- Must have at least 3 years ferry boat experience in Harbour vessel
- Practices safe handling techniques.
- njoy working outdoors
- Willing to work Sundays and Public Holidays.
- Familiar with Singapore’s territorial waters and outside port limits
- Adhere to Company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
- Any other duties that may be assigned
