We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an **Assistant Vice President, Operations and Controls.**
**Principal Responsibilities**
- As part of first line of defence, identify and mitigate potential areas of risk in Branch Operations and Omnichannel Experience which may require escalation e.g.: MSII to aid in the strong governance of the WPB risk control
- Work with stakeholders in implementation of solutions for risk management
- Regular review potential risk areas in Branch Operations and Omnichannel Experience through forums with stakeholders to mitigate operational risk
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- Lead/ participate in both Network / bank initiated projects
- Work with branch CSMs improve customer experience in processes, systems, operations and administration without compromising on business risk and demonstrating the use of CARE
- Work with the wider teams to deliver the Branch Operations and Omnichannel Experience ‘s Performance KPIs
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues in the wider WPB businesses
- Foster an environment of teamwork, ensuring collaboration throughout the organization and team
- Uphold HSBC value behaviour at all times
- Mitigate operational risk through regular review of resource distribution across locations to ensure a balanced allocation of staff resources
- Active involvement in the resource allocation for business expansion and development to achieve operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3- 5years proven and progressive branch operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skill
- Client centric
- Sound knowledge of branch operations
- Understands the risk components in branch related issues
- A strong sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability
- Project Management experience will have an added advantage
- Problem solving capabilities
- Motivated and possess strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to make decisions
