**Responsibilities**:

- Lead, plan, implement, track and report the routine patch management of workloads for Linux & Windows OSes. For workloads that fail the patching, troubleshoot, test and escalate to principal vendors.
- Manage the assets, licenses, inventory and other soft assets in the AWS subscription, giving the customer full visibility on assets, features and functionalities in use; thereby preventing unexpected charges and/or security issues dues to usage of specific functionalities.
- Monitor and maintain the availability of the AWS subscription. Report scheduled or unscheduled downtimes to customer immediately. Troubleshoot and root cause any downtime and promptly provide incident reports clearly articulating the reasons for downtime. Recommend and enable best practices for higher uptime of workloads.
- Report the status to customer during routine and ad-hoc meetings.
- Attend to incidents and trouble-tickets and resolve it within the pre-defined Service Level Agreements.
- Lead in the capacity planning and performance management of the AWS infrastructure
- Lead in the analysis, diagnosis and resolution of faults for AWS operations.
- Fullfill service and change requests relating to system provisioning, backup, log management, two-factor-authentication, security management, monitoring, etc
- Adhere and participate in change management, problem management, release management, configuration management, disaster recovery and other ITIL processes.
- Test and report on technology explorations and validation of systems components through proof-of-concepts.
- Escalate and work to resolve issues with principal vendors during troubleshooting and support incidents.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering or Information Technology or related disciplines.
- Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified SyOps Administrator
- In-depth understanding of AWS Cloud.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience in the implementation, operations and maintenance of the following:

- At least 3 year experience with common operating systems, including common flavours of Windows and Linux.
- Good understanding of security operations, system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems, 2FA, etc) and role based administration
- Good understanding of networking, including network routing, IP addressing,
- Experience administering sizeable AWS environments
- Task automation via scripting such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, and ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
- Experience in DevOps deploying IT infrastructure using templates and scripts
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
