QAqc Supervisor

Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood has an opportunity for a QAQC Supervisor to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that contractors working within his discipline adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction project drawings, Specifications, ITP’s, Procedures, Quality Plan and Site Instructions
- Responsible for the HSES and quality aspects of the work within assigned areas and for ensuring contractors complete their work in accordance with the project schedule
- Work with the contractors’ supervision, planning engineers and the Construction Engineer, develop detailed daily and weekly work plans in accordance with the overall planning schedule and Quality Plan
- Perform Inspection to ensure that the construction work is performed and meet the project specific Quality Requirements.
- Verify in process inspection and final inspection.
- Verifying piping material identity (pipe, valves and fittings) and its conformance to the installation drawings.
- Provide appropriate feedback to management regarding QA/QC matters.
- Ensure Piping and Mechanical ITP stages are followed and complied.
- Monitor Piping and Mechanical operations and conduct required inspections work to resolve quality related issues with workers, subcontractors, and the client.
- Develop inspection and test programs.
- Coordinate quality site inspections with all site sub-contractors and vendors, coordinate all non-destructive testing on site, and monitor the implementation of the approved site QC plan.
- Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and competed in a timely matter meeting project deadline.
- Daily and weekly reports of site progress in line with project schedule.
- Witnessing final piping tests.
- Inform the Discipline Superintendent on specific areas where the programme needs to be adjusted in accordance with site conditions ,quality plan and material deliveries are in accordance to preservation procedures
- Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
- Develop and determine all standards to perform inspections and tests on all procedures, oversee all testing methods, and maintain high-quality standards for all processes.
- Review the quality of materials at the site, ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality, and collaborate with the department for all quality of materials.
- Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules, ensure adherence to all procedures, and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.
- Assist employees in ensuring knowledge of all quality standards, ensure compliance with all quality manuals and procedures, and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the quality of all systems.

Skills / Qualifications:

- Experience via assignments or supervisory responsibility in most areas, including field engineering, project control, quality control, administration of contracts and subcontracts, craft supervision, field superintendence, safety, labor relations, maintenance, turnarounds and outages, commissioning and other applicable positions and functions.
- Knowledge and familiarity with the methods, practices, crafts, tools, equipment, codes, documents, drawings, specifications, requirements, functions and control systems of the engineering and construction business.
- Overall, a minimum of 8 years experience in the process and/or utility/power construction industry.
