Wireless Communication Project Manager

**Contract duration: 16 Months
**Responsibilities
1. Recommend, evaluate and procure ICT system to meet operational needs.

2. Plan, design, and propose suitable radio network systems for the end to end 4G/5G Enterprise or Tetra solution based on understanding of company and communication requirements.

3. Design radio site solution for both indoor and outdoor deployment at company premises including type and location of radio, base station, RF cables, etc.

4. Prepare and execute radio test plans including integration, performance, coverage and capacity verification.

5. Optimise deployed network to achieve optimum network performance on project completion.

6. Integrate radio network to mobile edge core and centralised core with necessary verification tests.

7. Troubleshoot network issues including radio base station faults and device incompatibility issues during project implementation.

8. Develop best practices for 4G/5G Enterprise solution or Tetra deployment.

9. Formulate Operation and Support Standards for Wireless Communications Systems across company for ease of maintenance.

10. Provide guidance in Integrated Logistic Support and RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) concept to Project Teams so that Maintenance Requirements are duly addressed during implementation.

11. Establish and induct best practices in maintenance and support.

12. Provide maintenance and support guidance to projects and users.

13. Work with Departments, Project Teams, and Operational Users to strengthen and enhance the maintenance of the assigned Wireless Communications Systems.

14. Work with Project Teams during the Project Planning Phase to incorporate Maintenance and Support Design Thinking as part of Project Requirements.

15. Work with Project Teams during the Project Acquisition Phase to review the Integrated Logistic Support proposal and incorporate Predictive Maintenance approaches as part of maintenance strategy.

16. Review and initiate plans to maintain and sustain the functions and capabilities of the systems throughout their life cycle.

17. Recommend obsolescence management, system refresh, and mid-life upgrade approaches.

18. Work with System Owners and lead the Operations and Support (O&S) teams to ensure that the O&S teams and contracted vendors have sufficient capability to manage the systems under their care in order to support company’s operational needs.

Job Requirements

1. Degree qualification in Electronics/ Electrical Engineering, Computer Studies, or related disciplines such as ICT Technology/Telecommunications;

2. Minimum of 5 years of working experience dealing with 4G/5G or Tetra radio network design, optimization and/or deployment;

3. Expertise with 4G/5G or Tetra network design, planning, optimization and deployment;

4. Expertise in indoor and outdoor radio solutions

5. Knowledge in RF testing including coverage tests methodology and test software use

6. Understanding and up-to-date with 3GPP, ITU standards

7. Understanding of various 4G/5G network architectures (standalone, non-standalone) and frequency bands (FR1, FR2)

8. Good understanding of cybersecurity knowledge and IT/Compliance Audit

9. Hands on experience in IT/Compliance Audit

10. Proactive and able to work independently with little supervision

11. Possesses creative problem-solving skills

12. Good Systems Engineering knowledge and understanding of the concept of System life cycle

13. Sound understanding of Integrated Logistic Support and RAM Concepts

14. Prior experience in maintaining 24/7 operational systems with tight response and turn-around time

16. Prior experience in managing and coordinating multiple vendors
