Reports to Head of Engineering Management basis organization and also to Project Engineering Manager when assigned to a project role
- Define, schedule, execute and co-ordinate activities within areas of responsibility
- Ensure that all deliverables are completed on time, in accordance with the project schedules
- Ensure that the work is done to the specified quality
- Ensure HSE activities within area of responsibility are carried out
- Give input to overall Basis for Design
- Organisation of multidiscipline system/area design reviews
- Participate in HAZOP's and other external reviews
- Define and request required resources and establish design teams
- Co-ordination of resources between Multidiscipline Design Groups and other parts of the Engineering Organisation
- Interface with other organisational units, including systems administrations
- Ensure that vendor information required to progress the work are identified and communicated
- Implement project strategies and philosophies
- Review and report overall changes and deviations to design basis (budget)
- Report technical status and progress for overall area scope of work
- Implementation of contract requirements
- Status reporting within area of responsibility
- Maintain a positive and safe working environment at work location
- Comply without fail with the company code of conduct and ensure ethical behaviour at all times. Unethical behaviour shall not be tolerated

**Job requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in an equivalent engineering specialisation
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical (OGP) industry
- A good understanding and knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Effective technical communication (verbal and written) skills with proven ability to present technical issues to design teams and client.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people at all levels.
- A self-starter who can work independently, make sound decisions, analyse problems and provide focused solutions.
- Strong industry knowledge in an MNC work environment would be an advantage
