Food Technologist

_**Key Responsibilities**_
- Conduct research, analyze market trends, and experiment with various ingredients and formulations to achieve desired taste, texture, and nutritional content of new products
- Generate innovative product ideas and recipes for new product development
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to management and cross-functional teams.
- Perform troubleshooting during production process by identifying and resolving issues related to product development, quality, and safety aspects
- Cross-functional collaboration with various teams - eg. with Marketing team for product marketing campaigns; with Culinary & Research team to refine the desired quality of the end products
- Conduct sensory evaluation and shelf life tests, and maintain proper records of results and feedback
- Ensure compliance with relevant food regulations, labeling requirements, and industry standards throughout the product development and production processes
- Responsible for lab facility management, housekeeping in R&D development kitchen
- Other adhoc duties as assigned by the supervisor
- **Requirements**_
- Degree or Diploma in Food Technology/Food Science or equivalent
- 3 years of work experience in food-related industries, preferably in product development function
- Equipped with knowledge and understanding of plant-based ingredients and their functions
- Passionate about food product development
- Prior experience from bench-top to scale-up would be advantageous
- Meticulous, organised and possess good analytical skills
- Competent in working independently as well as in a team
- Positive and resilient attitude and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to multi-task and work under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills as well as time management and project management skills
- Well-versed in HACCP and ISO certification would be preferred

**Salary**: $3,100.00 - $3,800.00 per month
