PARAMEDICS

Operating a large fleet of EAS Ambulances that is deployed across Singapore for various conveyances / standbys / events, Hope is looking for paramedics on a contract or full-time basis. As paramedic, you are trained to provide pre-hospital care that ensures positive patient outcomes. You lead the ambulance crew, comprising medics and ambulance drivers, to deliver emergency medical response in times of need. You are able to keep calm and triage in times of medical emergencies, while managing both the patient and your team.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 2-men or 3-men crew to respond calmly and professionally to emergency cases when activated, and ensure safe conveyance of patients.
- Assess patients, make diagnoses and provide emergency medical care for patient at scene or in ambulance during conveyance
- Administer first aid treatment and medication, pain relief and intravenous infusions while monitoring patient responses
- Using specialist equipment like ventilators and defibrillators to treat patients when needed
- Provided continuous treatment to patients while in transit on-board the ambulance, while giving comprehensive information and reports to hospital staff upon handing over at medical facilities
- Communicating effectively with patients, crew, clients and other stakeholders
- Check and maintain medical supplies and equipment on-board the ambulance, to be operationally-ready for medical and trauma emergencies
- May be assigned to other projects/locations based upon operational needs
- Opportunities to become a Trainer to teach members of the public on first aid techniques.

**Position Requirements**
- Diploma with preferably at least 1 year experience in pre-hospital emergency care OR Diploma in Nursing / Degree in Nursing with at least 1 year nursing experience; but fresh graduates are also welcome
- JIBC Paramedic Level III Certification
- Higher NITEC in Paramedic & Emergency Care (ITE)
- UPEC-Accredited Paramedic
- Possess good leadership skills while being a team player, in order to effectively manage your team
- Able to work under high-stress and challenging situations independently and with integrity, while staying calm under pressure
- Self-motivated, practive and have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to bear responsibility, learn new skills and seek advice / help with acknowledgement of mistakes
- Good command of written and spoken English. Multilingual ability is an added advantage
- Quick in using WA and Phone calls for communications with on-ground crew
- Physically fit with good stamina, and able to commit to irregular shift-work, including weekends and public holidays
