Head of Finance, Sea

**Main purpose of job**
- Responsible for SEA accounting and finance functions
- Responsible for APAC financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions
- Developing efficiencies and process improvements within APAC teams’ work streams

**Accountabilities**
- SEA accounting and finance functions
- Responsible for effective accounting operations and governance;
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual closing to ensure all financial and management reporting deadlines are met;
- Provide senior management with budgets and periodic forecasts, including bookings, sales, margins, SG&A, EBITDA and working capital;
- Run annual budgets and forecasts, including the roll-out of regular re-forecasting cycles and processes;
- Developing, coordinating, and reporting budgets and forecasts for individual departments;
- Operating performance for the upcoming month, quarter and year;
- Leading, training and guiding finance team to achieve company goals; and
- Ensure adequate and effective internal control systems are in place and in compliance with SOX requirements, and to properly safeguard company assets
- Financial planning and analysis
- Developing efficiencies and process improvements within the team’s work streams;
- Partnering with departmental leaders to determine and support financial analysis needs;
- Managing financial aspects of projects by determining key drivers, driving the right set of analyses and presenting the conclusions;
- Monthly reporting and variance analysis, including backlogs and bookships;
- Product margins and performance (also Business Unit performance);
- Customer margins and performance;
- Regional margins and performance;
- Prepare ad-hoc management financial reports as required;
- Prepare management reporting packs in a timely and clear fashion, with risks and opportunities readily identified; and
- Support APAC VP Finance on ad-hoc tasks as required.

- Liaise and co-operate with insurance company with regards to the current and required insurance for the compliance
- SHE and Howden policies.
- Adhere to all Howden Group policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
- Fully comply with Howden and local SHE policies, rules, regulations and legislation.

**Essential Skills, knowledge & behaviours**
- Accounting or finance degree preferred
- CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent preferred
- 10+ years of post qualification experience with more than 3 years in FP&A function and at least 5 years’ of managerial experience in leading finance teams, preferred
- Desire to get into the details and drive financial excellence
- Strong presentation skills to present to high level stakeholders
- FP&A experience gained within established MNCs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and deadline driven
- Strong knowledge of planning and performance processes, including annual budget, monthly forecast and periodic business reviews
- Team orientated, a “can do” attitude and flexible approachSuperior analysis skills
- Enthusiasm for solving problems and working collaboratively
- Work experience with mid-size to large companies with high growth preferred
- Independent/Self-starter with high attention to detail and assertiveness
- Strong working knowledge of accounting, controlling, finance operations, US GAAP and SOX compliance. Knowledge of SAP (CRS) and Power BI desirable
