We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost estimation, cost control, contract administration, and project management. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of our construction projects within budget and on time.
**Responsibilities**:
- To prepare BQ, tender document, cost comparison for tender project including source and negotiate price with suppliers and subcontractors, etc.
- Coordinate and assist in purchasing of all project work materials identified in the tender.
- Submission of project tenders, quotation and being able to follow up with any issues that arise regarding the submission.
- Ensuring that both customers and designers requirements and requests are fulfilled to the best of your ability.
- Understanding renovation phases and doing scheduling for designers/sales/contractors.
- Responsible for all works related to Quantity Surveyor duties.
- Responsible for searching and evaluating government tenders, preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, and handling claims and invoicing.
- Ensure contracts are adhered to, monitor project costs, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Other Ad-hoc QS duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation, contract administration, and project management principles
- Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools, such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and lead a team
