Reuters is looking for a video desk producer to join our video news team in Singapore.

**About the Role**

As Video Desk Producer, you will:

- Edit videos from bureaux
- Sub scripts from bureaux
- Proof-read the subbed scripts
- Brainstorm for creative ideas to cover stories
- Help to set daily news agenda
- Help bureaux conceptualise stories
- Coordinate with bureaux and London on daily output stories

**About You**

To be a Reuters producer, you should have:

- 1-5 years of experience in journalism
- Strong news judgment, work calmly under pressure, meet tight deadlines.
- Sharp eye for visual news elements and video/multi-media story-telling
- Thorough understanding of latest video technologies for shooting, editing, transmitting and sharing video
- Strong social media news gathering skills
- Excellent communication/writing skills in English. Asian language(s) is a plus
- Able to work long hours, weekend shifts, often under extreme pressure and unsupervised at times
- Respond courageously to major breaking news events, acting quickly and in a responsible manner
- A passion for story telling in various formats
