Senior Business Analyst

**ROLE
The Senior Business Analyst will work with the Business Solutions Architect on multiple initiatives and workstreams, across the end-to-end business functions of the organisation to assess current state design, propose new designs, as well as communicate and help to implement new operating models and/or process enhancements across our value chain.

The successful individual must be capable of leading both complex business and technology initiatives and have a deep understanding of both the investment operations and the technology that underpins required processes. Experience and knowledge of the Aladdin platform is highly preferred.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
This role is key in supporting the Business and Enterprise requirements for any RTB and/or CTB initiatives for Eastspring Investments.

**Requirements Gathering:
- Responsible for assisting to define and align the Eastspring business architecture to the data and technology architecture
- Analyses and validates requirements using a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Conducts impact assessment to identify the "as-is" processes, systems, and the "future" processes, systems and structures.
- Performs data analysis to cleanse & standardize data and to ensure data consistency and quality.
- Performs gaps and resolutions analysis.
- Ensures requirements are complete.
- Documents requirement/processes using industry standard notations.
- Maintains relationships with stakeholders and obtains formal signoff of all requirement documentation.
- Liaises with service providers to ensure understanding of requirements and limitations of solutions.

**Solution Assessment and Validation**:

- Works closely with the IT and Business teams to ensure solutions are optimal.
- Supports functional and integration testing.

**Implementation Support**:

- Provides project support to the impacted teams during implementation phases, including answering queries, troubleshooting, liaison with service provider, providing regular reporting.
- Contributes to project management processes, including status reporting, risk, issue, change management.

- Has strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively and proactively with external and internal stakeholders
- Experience in working as a business analyst within the asset management or equivalent industries
- Experience in Reference Data and Pricing
- Experienced in working on transformational projects that created substantial organizational level changes
- Familiar with Asian local market and regulatory practice.
- Is self-motivated, self-driving and independent.
- Attentive to detail and able to handle ambiguity.
- Fully fluent in standard office technology
- Experienced in using business analyst methods such as flow charting, requirements capturing, stakeholder analysis, use cases, brainstorming, solution prototyping, and traceability.
- As one of the senior members of the team, assist the Business Solutions Architect to manage team structures and changes as well as be a model example for the more junior members of the team.

**DOMAIN SPECIFIC ATTRIBUTES**:

- Strong foundation in buy side enterprise data model including portfolio structure, security reference data, market data, pricing, transactions & position, finance, and product data
- Working experience in major asset classes and associated analytics.
- Experience as Data BA in Reference Data/Operational Data system implementation

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

- Degree in Business/Finance or related disciplines
- 10+ years Financial Services BA experience (Asset management desirable)
- Excellent customer focus and high level of accuracy, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of the small team
- Experience in Data Analysis and change management
- Understanding of the asset management lifecycle, including trade flow and key front/middle/back-office concepts
- Familiar with data management frameworks
- Prior experience in Reference Data/Operational Data system implementation is desirable
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
