- You will be a Deputy Lead and SME of Middleware that will work with IT teams to provide operation and project support.
- You must be able to communicate well with both internal and external partners.
- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Middleware engineering to provide middleware automation, and new capability building (50% to 70%)
- a. Middleware Automation on operation, middleware patching and onboarding (WebLogic, JBoss EAP, JBCS Apache/JBoss Web Server etc)
- b. New capability building to support for business and both Apps and Infra.
- Deputy Lead and SME for Middleware operation, project planning, support and coordination (WebLogic, JBoss EAP, Apache/JBoss Web Server etc). (40% to 50%)
- a. SME for Middleware (WebLogic, JBoss EAP, Apache/JBoss Web Server etc)
- b. Resources planning for project support and coordination
- c. Manage and guide junior engineer
- Install and configure middleware system
- Fulfil service requests for middleware team, such as privilege provision, log file retrieval
- Conduct regular patch review and patch system to comply company policy
- Conduct regular account, baseline, security review and rectify if any gap, to comply with IT policy
- Support deployment in cloud environment, following change management process and deployment instruction
- Service requests such as service restart, SSO enablement, service configuration, log retrieval
- Support DR (disaster recovery) exercise
- Regular health check on DR environment
- Some operation support is 24x7. Below are examples of support after office hours:

- a. If any production incident, the staff shall attend to the incident resolution immediately.
- c. Middleware Patch in all environments
- d. Support for project cutover
- e. Support for important service request upon manager**Requirements**:

- EXPERIENCE
- Degree or diploma holder in Computer Engineering / Science, Information Technology, Electronic, Electrical, or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience engineering in middleware platforms
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
- 2.
- PROFESSIONAL / TRADE QUALIFICATION
- Middleware certification are preferred.
- 4.
- COMPUTER PROFICIENCY - Experience of middleware domain, such as Oracle WebLogic, JBoss EAP/Web, IIS
- Familiar with Windows, Unix, Linux
- Familiar with cloud environment
- Shell scripting

- Strong advocate of standards and challenge status quo with new and emerging technology to address new business challenges.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
