Freelance Av Technician

Club AV Technician | Lighting

We’re seeking a skilled **AV Technician with a strong focus on lighting** to manage, operate, and maintain lighting systems during DJ sets, and themed club nights. You’ll be responsible for creating an engaging visual atmosphere that enhances the guest experience and supports our DJs' mixes. We will engage you on an ad-hoc basis based on event schedules.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Program and control lighting consoles (e.g. DMX, MA Lighting, Chauvet, etc.)
- Sync lighting cues with music, DJs, or performances in real-time
- Manage moving lights, strobes, lasers, LED walls, and atmospheric effects (e.g. haze, fog machines)
- Troubleshoot and repair basic lighting and AV issues on the spot
- Maintain lighting rigs and ensure all equipment is safe and operational
- Collaborate with DJs, performers, and event producers to deliver custom lighting effects
- Assist with basic audio or visual (video) support as needed
- Keep up with emerging lighting technologies and techniques

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Proven experience operating club or party event lighting systems
- Familiarity with protocols and lighting control software/hardware
- Strong understanding of lighting design principles for clubs or live entertainment
- Ability to work in fast-paced, loud, low-light environments
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $150.00 - $200.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 5 per week
