**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting to Vice President, Data Science & Engineering, the Director of Data would be responsible for helping the company with the following areas
- Providing technical leadership to all data functions: data science, data engineering and data analytics.
- Developing and executing the company’s overall data strategy.
- Enhance the capabilities of our software products through ideation, evaluation and productization of data science algorithms.
- Recruit, mentor, and inspire an exceptional team of data professionals.
- Leveraging data to help the business answer questions around further expansion, products, customer acquisition/retention/churn and any other business goals that can be addressed through data insights
- Work with product leaders and clients to enable market facing solutions.
- Managing and mentoring a team of data scientists, data engineers and data analysts.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Experience in leading a team of engineers & data scientists
- Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create hiring strategies to develop quality teams.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Must be knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices, and change management

**YOUR PREFERRED BACKGROUND**
- PhD/Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Operation Research, Computer Science or equivalent, minimum 10 years of working experience in software design and developing customer-oriented platforms.
