The Insurance team is a relatively new team within Klook that manages our insurance products offered to customers across the region. Having created a joint venture (JV) with ZA Tech, we are in an exciting phase of growing the insurance business and team exponentially. In particular, this role manages our extensive network of partners across the region, a core aspect of the business.
**What you will do**:
- Own the partnership strategy to cultivate strong relationships with insurance industry players regionally that can support the team's product pipeline and initiatives.
- Collaborate with our partners and internal teams, pushing boundaries and being creative when needed, to deliver great-value and highly relevant insurance to Klook’s customers. This may involve new product innovation and co-creation with insurers based on user research.
- Gain a sound understanding of the competitive landscape to identify and monitor market trends, sales potential, and drive strong commercial negotiations.
- Own the insurance marketing strategy, maintaining a close relationship with Klook's local and central marketing teams to maximise sales potential and ensure merchant success for a long-term sustainable partnership.
- Secure promotional deals and sponsorships with partners to support marketing efforts. Develop forecasts, evaluate appropriate budgets, and track results of campaigns.
- Be the key external representative of the team, stepping in where needed to manage conversations during implementation and further product experiment/ optimisation initiatives post-launch.
**What you will need**:
- Min 3 years work experience with at least 2 years in a partnership role. Experience in the travel or insurance industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills - able to communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders across all levels, including senior managements, to build high trust and gain commitment.
- Embraces challenges and uncertainty - you will be a member of a team that aims to trailblaze and push boundaries in the highly regulated insurance industry.
- A champion of the team's key values - collaborative and open to feedback, experimentative and ready to fail, customer-focused and always asking what is best for the customer.
- Comfortable working with people from different cultural backgrounds.
- Strong commercial sense and comfortable with data analysis, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good command of English and Mandarin due to the need to work with teams in China.
