Key Responsibilities:

- **Security System Management**:Deploying, configuring, and maintaining security tools like firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
- **Network Monitoring and Analysis**:Continuously monitoring network traffic, analyzing logs and alerts, and identifying potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- **Incident Response**:Investigating security incidents, taking appropriate actions to mitigate threats, and restoring normal network operations.
- **Vulnerability Management**:Identifying, assessing, and remediating security vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure and systems.
- **Security Policy Enforcement**:Ensuring that security policies are implemented and followed, and that access controls are configured and maintained.
- **Compliance**:Adhering to relevant security regulations, industry standards, and internal security policies.
- **Documentation**:Maintaining accurate documentation of security configurations, incident responses, and security procedures.
- **Collaboration**:Working with other IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure a secure and reliable network environment.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of network protocols, security concepts, and technologies.
- Experience with network security devices like firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of security best practices, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) are often desirable.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCNA Security) are often preferred.
- Experience in a network security role is essential.
