**About the Role**:
The Specialist Cybersecurity (Insider/Data Security Incidents & Investigations) role will be part of the BHP Technology Secure & Architecture team located in either **Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Singapore or London**. The focus of this role is on Insider/Data Security incidents and forensic investigations. In this role you will contribute to the investigation of cybersecurity events or crimes related to information technology (IT) systems, networks, and digital evidence.
The responsibilities will include the below, but will not be limited to;
- Provides thought leadership and guidance to internal and external BHP investigation functions on complex technical matters related to relevant information sources, access methods etc. as part of their investigations.
- Determines the most appropriate methods of protecting original evidence and recovering deleted, erased, hidden and encrypted data and establish and maintain controls for proper retrieval and handling of evidence.
- Develops plans for and responds to detected insider cyber incidents, advises on preventative controls, and conducts critical testing to identify improvement opportunities.
- Conducts investigations (forensic analysis, data recovery, eDiscovery etc.) to support insider and data leak incidents and uses digital forensic techniques to reconstruct events and investigate, collect, and preserve cybersecurity evidence.
- Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
- Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence based decision making.
- Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.
**About You**:
As the successful Specialist in Insider/Data Security Incidents & Investigations you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Good experience in the industry (Mining, Resources, Banking or Telco), domain areas (Secure-by-Design Application Development, DevSecOps, Application Security, Cloud Security).
- STEM Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or Management Information Systems
- Certified as a Cyber Security Professional (CISSP, CISM preferred or equivalent)
- Certified as a Forensic Examiner (GCFE, CFCE preferred or equivalent)
- Foundational and cybersecurity related cloud certifications (AWS, Azure preferred or equivalent)
- Understanding of industry regulatory and compliance requirements like FedRAMP, PCI-DSS, NIST, HIPAA
- Experience in SIEM tool (Splunk) and forensic investigation solutions (EnCase, Nuix, Access Data FTK, Cellebrite, Relativity) and scripting capabilities (e.g. Python, PowerSheel, R etc.)
