**Full-Time F&B Service Trainee**

**TRAINING DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title: On-the-Job Trainee (F&B Service)**

**Department: F&B Department**

**Reports to: F&B Manager/Director**

**Duration: 6 months**

**General Mission**:
To go through a comprehensive training programme to give you hands-on experience and essential skills needed to prepare you for the real-world. This six month consists of rotations through two different F&B departments which will be important for you to complete your studies.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Gaining exposure and understanding the various roles and responsibilities within the two different F&B departments.
- Learn and adhere to the F&B policies and procedures.
- Adhere to food handling hygiene standards
- Assist experienced staff in delivering excellent customer service, ensuring high standards of service quality.
- Communicate and collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of the F&B departments.
- Documenting to track your training progress, completed tasks and achievements throughout the On-the-Job Training (OJT).
- Reports to the Restaurant Manager or F&B Manager/Director.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the F&B Manager / Director.

**Other responsibilities**:

- _Administrative responsibilities:_
- Learn and assist with stock taking activities.
- Learn and manage cash transactions, carry out payment processing, and keep track of receipts and cash.
- Answer telephones, assist guests, take diner reservations and messages.
- _Communication Responsibilities:_
- Greet and handle customers with a positive attitude.
- Communicate with kitchen staff on orders, modifications, etc.
- _Operative Responsibilities:_Learn and use the point-of-sale (POS) system to input and process customer orders.

Learn and assist in setting up and arranging tables as well as maintaining a clean dining area.
Support food service activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Studies in hospitality, food and beverage, or related courses.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
