We are currently seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team, specifically focusing on Singapore's enterprise customers. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with Sales Executives in managing enterprise accounts based in Singapore, with a specific focus on Government, Healthcare, and Higher Education sectors. As a Sales Engineer, you will work strategically alongside the sales team and channel partners, navigating successful sales cycles, delivering compelling value-based demonstrations, providing support for Proof of Concepts, and ultimately closing deals.
In this role, it is crucial that you share our enthusiasm for revolutionizing the Data Cloud landscape. You should thrive in a dynamic environment and possess the adaptability and willingness to take initiative and accomplish tasks. Your abilities should extend to both technical and business contexts, as you will engage with business leaders and technical audiences alike.
- IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL GET TO:
- Showcase Snowflake's technology and vision to officials and technical stakeholders at both prospective and existing customers.
- Engage directly with prospects and customers, providing hands-on demonstrations and effectively communicating the value of Snowflake's technology throughout the entire sales cycle. This includes demo sessions, proof of concept engagements, as well as design and implementation phases.
- Dive deep into the ever-evolving industry, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors. You will be responsible for positioning Snowflake in relation to these industry dynamics.
- Foster collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams, working together to continuously enhance Snowflake's products and refine marketing strategies.
WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience working in the field of data.
- Exceptional presentation skills, allowing you to effectively communicate with both technical and executive audiences. This includes the ability to deliver impromptu explanations on a whiteboard, as well as using presentations and demonstrations.
- Extensive experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, with hands-on expertise.
- The capability to link a customer's specific business challenges to the solutions provided by Snowflake.
- Preferably, previous engagement experience with customers in Singapore's Government, Healthcare, and Higher Education sectors.
- Broad knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP is preferred.
- Familiarity with Big Data, DataOps, and Machine Learning technology is a valuable asset.
- Bonus points for skills in Data Science and Data Applications Development, including knowledge of Scala, Python, and Java.
- A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
