M&e Enigineer

**Responsibility**
- Manage delivery of projects with agreed budget requirements to maximize profit.
- Conduct site surveys to verify installations and as-built documents, when necessary.
- To scrutinize design development and shop drawings to achieve buildable and code compliance.
- c. Project strategic planning, material procurement and deliveries, site logistics for work force and manage project progress to ensure excellent quality and timely completion.
- Oversee the efficient operation of the project to comply with the established master schedule, installation schedule; applicable operational procedures & works instructions/ method statements and Codes of Practices. Interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams, drawings and circuit plans for execution.
- Responsible for the initial concept development, layout and selection of equipment, development of contract drawings, specification writing, bid package preparation, field investigations and support during construction.
- Prepare M&E Master Construction Schedule, CSD and Structural Penetration for approval and ensure on site M&E works are on schedule.and managing the site construction activities carried out by subcontractors and to ensure timely completion of the work by fulfilling all quality and safety aspects and targets..

- Manage M&E subcontractors work progress, shop drawings, materials, samples, method statements submissions and approval.
- Review and align M&E Design Drawings to ensure compliance with design specification and guidelines.
- Identify discrepancies between M&E, Structural, ID, Architectural and Client provisions.
- liaison with Purchasing Section on the delivery of the purchased items for the project.
- Establish monitoring system for material delivery, drawings transmittals, site records, material submission and so no to avoid delay.
- Liaise with client; consultant; RTO and statutory bodies on matters relating to the progress of work, acceptance of work and approval of plans.
- Responsible for planning, controlling, coordinating, inspection and testing of mechanical and electrical works.
- Prepare mechanism and electrical AutoCAD drawings for design proposals, schematic/single-line drawings, site construction and as-built.
- Preparation and submission of M&E coordination drawings in accordance to the construction schedule.
- Compile Operation and Maintenance Manual, comprising of specifications, information on the equipment installation and As-Built shop drawings.
- Assist Project, Director, Project Manager, Construction Manager in administration of contract, preparing project schedule, progress claims, disputes and variation.
- Engage in discussions with the relevant authorities for plan preparation and submission.
- Timely updates of issues and problems encountered, particularly authority compliances and proposed resolutions, which may cause impact to the profitability, quality and delivery of the project.
- Inspect and sign off completed projects to ensure conformance with design standards.
- To explore efficient construction method, sequence, products, approach of temporary, M&E work, including change of design to meet the consultant’s requirement.
- Prepare of monthly reports; such as project budgetary report, progress report, site minutes of meeting and other relevant reports to the management.
- Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Building Services
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction sector
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact with people of all levels
- Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills
- Understands the specifications, drawings, scope and sequence of
- Ability to propose alternative material or work method for M&E Installations
- Ability to interpret construction drawings for any discrepancies
- Able to work independently.
- Willing to travel to Tuas Nexus Drive worksite (Pick up will be at Tuas West Road MRT Station)
