**Overview**:
Outside of the aquaculture industry, we’re also conducting R&D in collaboration with the public sector for government projects at the local and national levels and with enterprise companies.

This role will be based in Singapore and starting work remotely is also acceptable, with relocation support also made available if you move to Singapore.

**General scope of work**
- Development of a data infrastructure that can quickly generate data outputs from satellite data and monitoring buoys worldwide. The data created will be used for PULSE and other Umitron products. The aim is to design, build and operate a scalable infrastructure that can process long-term data at a global scale.
- Create data outputs that could be used for public and private sector R&D projects to create solutions that address environmental and business-level challenges. These results may also be implemented into Umitron products in the future as new features and functions.

- Research and development of analysis methods to solve customers' problems using ocean data
- Development of new functions for the satellite data service for aquaculture
- Development and operation of a data infrastructure to quickly provide users with global ocean data for analysis

**Basic Requirements**
- Academic expertise in remote sensing (Master's or PhD)
- Experience in developing software to analyse satellite / environmental data
- Ability to communicate in Japanese or English
- **Preferred requirements**
- Experience in implementing web services
- Experience in building/operating infrastructure on AWS
- Experience developing software in an engineering team
- Experience analysing satellite data using machine learning
