Singapore NUEVOCOR PTE. LTD. Full time

Nuevocor is a pre-clinical stage biopharmaceutical start-up dedicated to developing gene therapies to treat the underlying cause of genetic cardiomyopathies. Backed by an international syndicate of reputable venture capital firms, it will focus on advancing its lead program to clinical trials. It will also leverage its platform technology, underpinned by a deep understanding of cardiac cell biology and novel cardiotropic viral vectors, to discover and develop therapies for genetic cardiomyopathies.

Nuevocor’s Singapore R&D site is seeking to hire multiple research associates to expand our internal research capabilities. You will be joining a close-knit team where you will work closely with company scientists and other research associates.

**Responsibilities**
- Work with company scientists to execute and troubleshoot experiments in a variety of areas, including target discovery, target validation, and lead optimization of AAV gene therapy for genetic cardiomyopathies
- Contribute to multiple projects and work with collaborators to achieve project milestones
- Keep detailed and accurate records of experiments, data and analysis to support and protect intellectual property of the company
- Contribute to lab management

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related fields
- One of the following is required:

- Experience working with mouse models, such as transgenic colony management, administration of drugs, tissue extraction and processing, histology, and molecular assays; and/or
- Experience in cell and molecular biology and biochemistry, such as cell culture, transfections, molecular cloning, PCR, qPCR, Western blots, ELISA, immunoprecipitations, immunofluorescence microscopy
- Experience in cardiac phenotyping (e.g. echocardiography, ECG) would be advantageous
- Keen interest in translational research and comfortable working efficiently to meet milestones
- High standards in documentation
- Good time management and pro-active attitude
- Excellent communication skills and able to work in a team
