Oversee Regional Governance matters on Underwriting.

All year round

1.Delegated Authority Limits (DAL) Management via the system - configuration, issuing DALS for Underwriters in Malaysia and Regional roles

2.Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) Management - allows a third party to place QBE risk and issue insurance documentation of various degrees without referral to

QBE underwriters.

3.Peer reviews Management - each underwriter is required to complete 5 file reviews of their peers per quarter, after which governance runs reports and identify observations and trends.

4.Independent underwriting reviews - monitor and follow up on completion of IURs which are performed by Regional Head of Underwritings on a certain portfolio.

5. Risk Controls and Self Assessment - Go through all controls and risks and score them according to matrix, where it’s not meeting requirements to follow up with action plans

6. Updating of Underwriting policies, Risk appetite statements, Strategy papers for UW portfolios

7. Data Analytics projects to streamline our reports

Monthly

Monitor overdue risk incidents/issues Asia Underwriting Committee (AUC) - to go through key themes around underwriting, invite other departments to share monthly. Minutes taking Monthly cell reviews
- 4 thematic portfolios will present their financials and action points arising from reviews are to be circulated after meeting
