Maplin Engineering provides state-of-art design, engineering, business planning, multidisciplinary consulting, project management and construction management services to clients in infrastructure, oil and gas, industrial, education, healthcare, leisure and commercial sectors.

**PROJECT BRIEF**:
A petroleum Company seeks a qualified PMC Contractor who would carry out the project Provision of Project Management Consultancy for Oilfield Surface Facilities Construction at Company Camp, Baghdad, Iraq. Contract duration shall be two firm years plus one optional year from the Commencement Date. Maplin is looking to expand the current team of qualified individuals to work on this PMC Contract in Iraq.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Mechanical Design experience.
- Able to perform complex and extensive calculations using mechanical design software is essential.
- Carryout technical evaluation of bids.
- Prepare tender specifications for mechanical works.
- Review vendor/ contractors' documents.
- Execute capital projects according to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Perform complex technical/administrative tasks relative to Design and coordination of mechanical systems.
- Provide the technical input and review of design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning/startup of facilities.
- Address technical issues arising in all phases of project development related to mechanical systems.
- Responsibility for project development: engineering studies, technical bid reviews, preliminary engineering, detail designs, material procurement, construction, pre/commissioning, and startup.
- Review and provide input to the Functional Specifications for mechanical (rotating) equipment that fully complies with Mechanical international standards and specifications.
- Manage day-to-day contractors' activities related to assigned project (static equipment) work during construction and ensure HSE compliance.
- Conduct Site Acceptance Test for all mechanical equipment and resolve any technical issues that arise.

**EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL**:

- Bachelor’s degree minimum (Mechanical Engineering)
- A mechanical (Static Equipment) engineer with at least 8 years of practical experience in the oil and gas field, preferably in the upstream oil industry, with a broad background in production projects.
- Must have experience in specifying large mechanical units, and design/selection of pipes and other mechanical materials.
- Must be conversant with mechanical international standards and good engineering practices.
- Able to perform complex and extensive calculations on mechanical design software is preferred.
- Good skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English
