Wealth Management Kyc Associate

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
In J.P.Morgan, the Wholesale KYC Operations (WKO) team plays a critical role in ensuring that as an organization, we are compliant with multiple regulations, in order to protect the bank’s reputation and financial assets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Exhibit the highest standards of customer service with clear transparent communication to the banker articulating requirements and time commitments
- Act as the single point of contact handling the KYC and also facilitate queries, including issues around PEP, screening, regulatory, compliance, legal, operational risk
- Analyze AML risks associated with the client, identify and escalate potential risks and issues as appropriate
- Comprehend the KYC risk factors and to summarize the overall risk of the client
- Cultivate an environment of strong team work and client focus
- Lead collaborative dialogue with partners/stakeholders to advance the book of work, improve processes/systems, understand changes, resolve challenges
- Evaluate and present solutions to improve controls across the organization and processIdentify and execute initiatives to maintain a robust end to end process

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
- At least 3 years of KYC or related experience, with strong understanding of KYC, AML and regulatory requirements (i.e. HKMA and MAS)
- Proven ability in team & book of work management; with capability to deep dive into the detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills plus strong negotiating abilities
- Outstanding client management, partnership building, leadership and direct experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders
- Strong research, analytical and comprehension skills, with ability to critically analyze client risk / controls Self-starter and is able to operate with mínimal oversight

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- KYC experience within the Wealth Management / Private Banking sector
- Strong presentation skills
- Knowledge of project management
- Experience in leadership roles such as team leader or manager
- Business fluency in written/spoken Mandarin to support Chinese speaking clients in China
