**Job Purpose**
The Radiography Technician is to provide assistance to radiographers in clinical, administrative and technical duties and to supervise radiography assistants. He/she also manages and oversees the operation of image management service.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
**Primary Responsibilities and Duties**
- Perform cleaning of cassettes, imaging plates and equipment,
- Perform QA on printers and maintain records.
- Perform simple trouble shooting on equipment (training provided by vendor).
- Assist in moving of equipment (portable x-ray unit, I.I, ultrasound etc).
- Assist radiographer in processing of images.
- Process images and perform administrative duties in Dental x-ray department.
- Check and ensure patient’s name and ID are correct.
- Assist radiographer in patient transferring, using proper posture and techniques.
- Ensure patient’s line and catheter are observed.
- Co-ordinate the deployment of radiography assistants and plan monthly roster
- Assist in the orientation and induction program for new radiography assistants.
- Perform image/film management duties include burning CD for patient’s examination, scanned and upload scanned images.
**Secondary Responsibilities and Duties**
- Perform other general duties as directed by the radiographer in-charge / radiographer on duty.
- Coordinate the tracking and supply for some inventories.
- Participate in department projects.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
**Job Specification/Requirements**
- NITEC level preferred.
- 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Compassionate and good patient care.
- Customer and service oriented.
- Able to read and speak in English
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Working experience in hospitals will be an added advantage
