**Purpose of position**
In order to provide value and contribute to business companies, this position has responsible for strengthening organizational management and human resources.
**Responsibilities**
- Act as a global corporate purchasing team member by collaborating with OMRON HQ (GPQ).
- Implement and manage GPQ procurement of all activities for Asia Pacific regions.
- Coordinate procurement of all activities by global purchasing data and close communication with business companies in Asia Pacific.
- Establish the parts procurement/delivery process for Asia Pacific Omron factories and construct the BCP delivery route.
- Secure the required quantity of parts by negotiating with suppliers in America, Asia Pacific and Europe regions.
- Establish the process for Asia Pacific suppliers' risk management, and enhance sustainable procurement in Asia Pacific.
- In emergencies for procurement, develop countermeasures and coordinate action plans.
- Develop the Asia Pacific suppliers in collaboration with OMRON business companies/factories and OMRON HQ(GPQ).
- Be accountable for OMRON Asia Pacific purchasing/procurement team. Lead and coach the team in completing the strategic and tactical procurement goals.
- Management of KPI and progress.
- Budget control.

- Parts cost reduction
- Asia Pacific supplier ratio
- Set the key position talent (Including successor)
**Job Requirements & Qualifications**
- Degree in management, operations, engineering, or general studies or related discipline.
- 10 years of experience in procurement and purchasing, preferably gained in the electronic component factory environment.
- At least 3 years as a People Manager leading a team of 5 - 7 direct subordinates.
- Working experience at a Japanese company will be advantageous
- Experience working in a matrix organization and change environment.
- Business level of Japanese language in both verbal and written as most of the communication will be done in Japanese to communicate with the Japan Global HQ team.
- Excellent English communication skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders in America, Asia Pacific and Europe.
- Strong people management skills with a proven ability to manage, lead and inspire a growing multinational team.
- Able to travel for work domestically & internationally.
