The NPDI (New Product Development and Introduction) under MTO (Microfluidic Technology & Operation) is an organization working to develop new technology and deliver winning products to marketplace. Falcon NPI Team is focus on process delivering the technology and products by ensuring process readiness and validating product performance. The team supports a diverse and growing business portfolio in Page Wide Industrial, Large Format Production, 3D plastic and metal segment.

The NPDI organization is looking for a Product/Process Associate Engineer to work together with Engineering team to deliver NPI activities for the development of the printhead assemble. The Associate Engineer will be part of the development team to provide the solution to determine the quality plan for new manufacturing processes and validate the quality of the product before launch.

**What a NPI (New Product Introduction) Associate Engineer does in HP**:Proto Build**:

- Collaborate closely with engineers to support the engineering proto build plans and experiments.
- Manage inventory, shipments, and receipts of proto materials from global partners or external manufacturers.
- Conduct quality checks on proto materials using tools such as microscopes or 3D profilers.

**Proto Process**:

- Understand and implement process changes required for various NPI projects, such as recipe adjustments, bypassing default production for proto builds, and specification modifications.
- Collaborate closely with the operational team to conduct NPI experiments.
- Qualify proto tools for use in production builds.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical troubleshooting, escalating issues to engineers promptly and working collaboratively to resolve technical problems.
- Analyze tasks, collaborate with internal partners, and provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members to enhance organizational performance.

**Product Quality**:

- Coordinate logistic arrangements for products to send to different labs for testing
- Work closely with testing lab, handle routine testing (e.g. oven based testing ASL, TCT etc)
- Compile test data, proto build data for analysis.

**Individuals who will do well in this role usually possess**:

- Technical Diploma or equivalent experience, 2~4 years of relevant experience
- May include highly experienced individuals performing senior equivalent work
- Proficient using Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Effective communication skills across organisations
- Demonstrate agility in learning, and growth mindset
- Experience in mentoring and training laboratory personnel
- TIJ Assembly Line process experience
- Analytical Test Lab working experience
- Knowledge of TIJ printheads
