**Objective**

Provide a single point of contact for all Market Access issues and activities related to Vaccines within the Region. Lead the coordination of VBU initiatives for the region for all inline and pipeline products within Vaccines, ensuring seamless global-to-local integration. Run cross therapeutic areas projects aligned with GEM Market Access Strategy

**Job Function and Description**

Strategic Sub regional Role (40%)
- Setting clear access priorities for Vaccine’s pipeline, pre-launch, launch and LCM across the region, in alignment with GEM GPA Head and VBU, including prioritization of access needs for Takeda’s vaccines portfolio.
- Via continuous monitoring of PR&A developments in the region, alert region, country, franchise, brand and GPA teams to healthcare system developments, competitor activity or other events within the region that would have the potential to impact pricing/market access for Takeda’s vaccine portfolio.
- Lead a process for the collection and dissemination of information, data, insight, and intelligence on specific regional and country market access requirements to ensure that local requirements are being met.
- Leverage deep understanding of the regional and country vaccine market access requirements, the evolving environment, and future trends to ensure that the market access regional needs are adequately reflected in the global strategies and plans in development by the Vaccines GLT and GPT.
- Lead vaccines access-related launch preparedness and pre-launch initiatives to facilitate optimal pricing and reimbursement for each country within the region
- Leverage deep understanding of the regional and country market access requirements, the evolving environment, and future trends to ensure that the market access regional needs are adequately reflected in the global strategies and plans in development by VBU
- Provide required regional market access support to the countries based on their local needs and available resources (direct local support may be required)
- Lead the internal pricing approval process for launch and for management of tenders for the inline vaccines’ portfolio.
- Build, lead, and follow-up cross therapeutic areas projects (i.e., capability building, innovative access, early engagement) aligned with GEM Market Access strategy.

People (25%)
- Manage and supervise indirect reports (country Vaccines PVA teams) and ensure seamless collaboration with key partners (e.g., VBU, Commercial, MA, Public Affairs,).
- Identify needs for development of market access capabilities within the region and coordinate training with other relevant functions.
- Provide performance feedback on Market Access teams to Area/Country Heads.

Process Coordination (25%)
- Partner with VBU and GPA, medical, commercial, and other cross-functional partners as appropriate to position our vaccines and service offerings as a leader with governments to address the previously understood unmet need.
- Communicates access-related competitor and payer insights to relevant internal functions for development planning, study design and regulatory strategies.
- Provide single point of contact for all vaccine access-related topics within the region to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Champion the regional and country needs within Takeda and ensure required resources are provided to the region for GPA activities.
- Lead the internal pricing approval process in the region for launch brands and for management of tenders for the inline portfolio.

External Stakeholders (10%)
- Establish and maintain professional, productive relationships with external VBU stakeholders and policymakers to support strategy development and execution within the region
- Identify innovative partnership opportunities, together with country vaccines team members, that result in favorable access to Takeda’s vaccines.

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- University degree required, advanced degree in related field (e.g., MA, MBA, MPH, MPA preferred)
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical commercial experience, including 5-7 years of local and or regional market access, legal, finance or commercial experience
- Vaccines therapeutic area expertise highly desired
- Solid track record in developing pricing, reimbursement, and access (PR&A) strategies and influencing PR&A negotiations in key markets

**Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies**
- Strong understanding of HTA/payer environment, Pharmacoeconomics, HE&OR and epidemiology
- Strong pricing and alternative pricing scheme (e.g., value-based contracting) experience in strategy and local/regional implementation desired
- Robust understanding of key HE&OR principles and familiarity with HE&OR/P&R dossiers (e.g., Global Value Dossiers)
- Ability to frame HTA strategies and arguments and be able to convert evidence into clear value me
