**Job Summary:
At Morning Star Community Services, we seek to create an environment of warmth and safety for the individuals we work closely with. He/she is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring the smooth execution of programmes.

The ASPIRE Programme Supervisor effectively creates a secure, nurturing and quality care environment for primary school-aged children and youth. He/She manages the day-to-day operations, co-designs and implements age-appropriate curriculum, and ensures the smooth execution of Social Emotional Learning curriculum and activities, while overseeing a team of facilitators and volunteers.

The Supervisor is proactive and intentional in strengthening partnerships with families and collaborates with his/her team members to achieve this goal.

**Key responsibility areas
**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee staffing and manpower-related issues for the Centres
- Oversee the administration and operations of the Centres including day-to-day activities and enrollment matters
- Manage and report incidents (if any) in a timely and professional manner, assess risk and uphold safety
- Work closely with parents and schools to monitor the children’s social-emotional development and challenges
- Work closely with external partners, volunteers and staff to supervise children and youth enrolled in the ASPIRE Programmes from weekday afternoon to evening (1 pm to 9 pm)

Programme Execution & Delivery
- Assist in the design and planning of curriculum and learning outcomes to support the students’ Social-Emotional Learning
- Coach and facilitate group learning sessions for Primary school students and teens

Stakeholder Management
- Interact with family members or caregivers regarding the development of the children and youth where necessary
- Establish a good relationship with facilitators/volunteers and provide feedback to uphold professionalism
- Escalate queries or requests to management
- Maintain good relationships with team members, clients and/or stakeholders

**Requirements
- Diploma/degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work or Special Education preferred
- We also welcome mid-career switchers
- At least 2-3 years of experience in an operational or direct services role working with children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Ability and passion to work with children and youth
- Possess a sense of responsibility towards the care of our clients (children, youth and their caregivers)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in CASEL’s Social-emotional competency framework is an advantage
- Able to work collaboratively with others, and contribute to teamwork.
- Possess interpersonal skills allowing efficient communication with others to achieve mutual consensus and outcomes.
- Able to detect and decipher the emotions of others to manage interpersonal relationships in work situations.
- Possess a service-oriented mindset to commit to meeting the needs of internal and external clients
