We are looking for an experienced and visionary Managing Director to lead our regional home appliance wholesale trading company in ASEAN. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our business operations, including strategy, marketing, sales, and human resources. You will also be the main point of contact for our stakeholders, such as suppliers, customers, and regulators.
As the Managing Director, you will set the direction and goals of our company and ensure that we achieve them in a profitable and sustainable way. You will also foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork among our employees and partners. You will report directly to the Board of Directors and provide them with regular updates on the company’s performance and challenges.
To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience as a managing director or a similar senior leadership position in the wholesale trading industry, specializing in home appliance product, familar with supply chain management in China. You should also have a strong knowledge of the market trends and familar with market in Asia and North America. You should have excellent communication, both in spoken and written Mandrian, interpersonal, and presentation skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
- Provide strategic advice to the board and chairperson so that they will have an accurate view of the market and the company’s future
- Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times
- Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, and authorities
- Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
- Read all submitted reports by lower rank managers to reward performance, prevent issues, and resolve problems
- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a managing director or a similar senior leadership position in the wholesale trading of home appliance industry
- Proven experience in supply chain management, especially in China
- Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans, familar with North America market will be preferable
- Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication in both spoken and written Chinese, English, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
- BSc/BA in business administration, applied electronics or a relevant field is preferable
