**Job Title: Partnerships & D2C Senior Underwriter and Proposition Development Lead**

**The Opportunity**:
Zurich Singapore is seeking a Senior Underwriter and Proposition Development lead to underwrite and grow our partnerships and direct to customer insurance business. Our products include travel, gadget and extended warranty insurance.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, product development, underwriting and management of our partnerships and D2C products and propositions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Underwrite renewal and new account opportunities and qualify accounts to align with the organization's appetite and business opportunities.
- Measure exposure, analyze risk, and accurately calculate target prices using appropriate underwriting and pricing tools.
- Negotiate terms and conditions, close deals, and cross-sell other product density.
- Develop and maintain strong brokers, customers and key distributors to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Lead and participate in market and customer presentations.
- Evolve and develop propositions products through market research, product ideation, business case development, defining unique sales and market propositions, selection of distribution partners, go-to-market pricing, profit/loss analysis, product and marketing materials production, etc.
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders, including Distribution, Underwriting, Pricing, Operations/IT, Legal, Compliance and Claims, to ensure new products are launched in a timely manner. Monitor the progress of the product launch and communicate with all relevant stakeholders regarding the timeline and expectations.

**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:

- Embrace the concept of The Zurich Way of Underwriting and demonstrate the ability to quickly integrate and adapt to different underwriting culture and practices.
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and pricing strategies.
- University degree with 10 years of relevant work experience in insurance
- Experience in Product Management and Development, particularly in launching new insurance products
- Understanding of local partnerships and D2C business and good insights on business and product strategy
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Demonstrated ability to be highly collaborative and execute effectively across multiple functions and levels of the organization
- Strong business acumen, result-oriented, innovative thinking and strong team player comfortable with sharing new ideas
- Have a growth mindset, passion for driving changes and willing to challenge status-quo to develop unique customer propositions and deliver exceptional customer experience.
- Knowledge of sales & marketing, emerging/digital technologies, customer experience design or data analytics, is a plus.
