Medical Technologist

Under limited supervision, and in accordance with Company policies, procedures and guidelines, you are required to:

- Perform routine and complex analytical tests on human body fluids and tissues to provide accurate data for optimal diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of disease states.
- Perform routine laboratory test procedures as outlined in the established SOPs and according to MOH regulations, ISO and CAP accreditation. Adhere to quality assurance and quality control procedures in performing all testing.
- Correlate clinical information and/or previous lab results and reports discrepancies to HOD. Consult with HOD when no preset criteria for decision making are available before taking action
- Monitor lab supplies in assigned area or department
- Train or instruct laboratory personnel in performance of lab tests and procedures where assigned.
- Participate in developmental work on new tests
- Participate in established TQM activities, QC testing of lab reagents and maintenance of equipment. Follow protocol for running and documenting control values
- Attend and participates in continuing education programs to monitor proficiency, expand current knowledge and enhance professional excellence. Share knowledge willingly and provide clinical orientation to others
- Perform other assigned duties as instructed or required
**Job requirements**:

- At least Diploma in Biomedical Science/ Molecular or relevant course of study
- Various departments for placement: Biochemisty, Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular, Serology, Pathology, Haematology, etc.
- Computer literate, basic knowledge & skills in ULTRA LIS will be an added advantage
- Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) & on-the-job (OJT) training will be provided
- Responsible, Meticulous, Hardworking
- Team player with positive working and learning attitude, excellent interpersonal and communication skills

**Salary**: $2,400.00 - $3,500.00 per month
