**Responsibilities**:
- Perform routine and complex medical laboratory testing, interpret and report the results within TAT in accordance with laboratory policies and standard operating procedures.
- Develop and improve in the process and workflows in line with requirements of the Genomics /Molecular diagnostic laboratory testing and reporting in the clinical laboratory.
- Able to lead the team to perform the validation of Laboratory Information Management System, evaluation and validation for new assays and instruments as and when required.
- Review daily and weekly quality control reports, prepare controls and reagents, calibrate the laboratory instruments, verify reports and Conduct training of new staff for laboratory testing procedures and maintain technical competencies of laboratory personnel.
- Write or review new work instructions and standard operating procedures and when delegated, involve in developing and maintaining the Quality Management System.
- Keep Good Clinical Practice and safe working environment complying with the requirements of the laboratory safety, staff safety and patient safety.
- Manage the reagent inventory to ensure all reagents and supplies are sufficient and available when needed.
- Assist in the troubleshooting, servicing and maintenance of the laboratory facility, instruments and equipment, and rectify any discrepancies or inconsistencies in test results according to the laboratory policy and procedures.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager/ Laboratory Director.
**Job Requirements**:
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Science/ Medical Technology/ Medical Laboratory Science/ MLS(ASCPi) or equivalent.
- Preferably 2 years of work experience in clinical diagnostic laboratory, in Genomics or Molecular section.
- Able to lead and coach team members with positive work attitude.
- Able to work on shift duties.
- Attention to details with Good Clinical Practice.
