Electrical & Instrumentation (E&i) Engineer

We are seeking an experienced **Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer** to support the **operation, maintenance, and reliability** of **electrical systems and process instrumentation** in a **biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment**. The role involves troubleshooting, technical assessments, and ensuring compliance with **GMP, safety, and regulatory standards**.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure the **operation, reliability, and compliance** of **electrical and instrumentation systems** for **biotechnology process equipment**.
- Perform **troubleshooting, failure analysis, and technical assessments** for electrical and control system malfunctions, during normal working hours and after-hours when required.
- Develop, implement, and optimize **preventive maintenance programs, job plans, and datasheets** in **Maximo** or other CMMS systems.
- Support **equipment commissioning, qualification, and automation checkouts**, including **FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ** for new or modified process equipment.
- Ensure proper **calibration, validation, and maintenance** of process instrumentation such as **temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, flow meters, and analytical instruments**.
- Investigate **deviations**, develop **corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)**, and implement **change controls** in a timely and compliant manner.
- Perform **periodic reviews, data integrity assessments, and security assessments** for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Collaborate with **cross-functional teams** (process, automation, mechanical, maintenance) to optimize plant performance and reliability.
- Participate in **system walk-downs**, ensure **closure of punch list items**, and support **handover from project teams to operations**.

**Service Expectations**
- Provide **technical support for client inquiries** during **normal working hours and after-hours**, if required.
- Ensure **experienced and qualified personnel** are placed on-site, with any personnel changes requiring client approval.
- Participate in **periodic service level performance reviews** based on agreed **KPIs** with the client.
- Proactively recommend **cost-saving measures, reliability improvements, and technical solutions** for continuous process optimization.

**Requirements**:

- ** Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering** or a related field.
- ** 3-5 years of experience** in **E&I maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability** within a **pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP-regulated manufacturing environment**.
- Strong expertise in **electrical distribution systems, motor controls, and process instrumentation**.
- Hands-on experience with **PLC, SCADA, and DCS control systems** for process automation.
- Proficiency in **Maximo CMMS** or similar systems for maintenance and asset management.
- Knowledge of **GMP, safety regulations, and international electrical codes (IEC, NEC, etc.)**.
- Experience in **commissioning and qualification** (FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ) of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with **cross-functional teams and stakeholders**.
