The purpose of this G4 Transport Planner/Engineer role is to support the transport planning offering in Arup’s Singapore office and our regional business. You will work with broader technical project teams to support project and bid delivery through undertaking transport planning studies, traffic impact assessments, modelling analysis both macro and microsimulation, and future transport studies to support solutions for development and infrastructure projects.
**The Opportunity**
- Assist in collaborating with urban planners and engineers to optimize transportation solutions. Contribute to the development of sustainable transportation strategies and policies at a basic level. Ensure adherence to transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Participate in preparing transportation planning reports and studies
- Authoring non-standard letters, reports and other documentation may be required of this role from time to time;
- Represent your team or group at external meetings. The role may be involved in developing events, activities and internal projects of some complexity.
- Collaborate with the team to assist in planning and designing transportation systems and infrastructure, gaining foundational knowledge in transportation planning and engineering.
- Support in conducting basic traffic analysis, transportation modelling, and demand forecasting

**Is this role right for you?**
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in transport planning, civil engineering (preferably with transport modules), urban studies or similar areas;
- Minimum 4 years of relevant industry experience in the field of transport planning and modelling within a consulting business environment;
- Experience in across a broad range of transport planning, masterplanning, strategic modelling, microsimulation modelling and traffic impact assessments.
- Deep knowledge of Singapore regulations and approvals processes particularly those for the Land Transport Authority, Singapore (LTA) and Urban Redevelopment Authority, Singapore (URA).
- Additional experience in emerging future of transport studies is an advantage.
