**What the day will look like**

Key Responsibilities include:

- Build and maintain a culture of data management & data protection best practice in Asia
- Possess developed project management skills
- Own and keep under constant review all the subregion’s data protection compliance arrangements to include updating policies and guidance, centralizing processes, and putting in place and overseeing (with Internal Audit and other Aon functions) robust, time-bound remedial plans where necessary
- Appoints and regularly meet with and train Privacy Champions with support from the Global Privacy Office (GPO)
- Support APAC Chief Operating Officers (COO) and APAC Chief Risk Officers (CRO) in the conduct of the APAC Privacy and Data Security (PAD) Subcommittee
- Create and execute Annual Privacy Plans for relevant businesses to meet objectives of the Aon’s Global Privacy Operating Model (GPOM) and local privacy laws
- Ensure and oversee the execution of Annual Data Privacy Impact Assessments & remediation of any findings in Asia
- Appropriately manage and report on data protection risks & issues that may arise, with support from the GPO and other Aon functions, where needed
- Develop & maintain processes to respond to data breaches and to handle data protection related requests from clients/individuals in accordance with relevant laws, Aon Data Privacy Protocols and the GPOM
- Support the GPO, APAC CRO, DCRO and APAC COOs with regular privacy reporting and training

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**

Ideally, you will come from a compliance, risk or law background with knowledge working in financial services. You must have strong project management skills with the ability to lead. You will also have:

- At least 4 years of experience as a data privacy lead, privacy or compliance officer
- High work standards with strong client service orientation
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of Privacy Legislation
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
