**Associate Scientist, Biology-Discovery (1 year contract)**

Under limited supervision, functionally validate new drug targets with causal human biology. Help design and implement various molecular and cellular biology experimental approaches and strive to understand causal inferences of these targets. Engage in designing and performing key experiments and interpreting results. Support/lead general lab duties.
- Execute experiments with mínimal supervision to answer key questions about the role of novel targets in the etiology and progression of disease to enhance the process of target identification and validation.
- Actively involves in internal efforts and work with external partners to enable the scientific advancement of projects under scientific and administrative direction.
- Retain an up-to-date knowledge of the key therapeutic area biology, analytical techniques and equipment and carry out literature searches and provide reviews as required in support of priority projects.
- Help to optimize technology to support scientific/business processes. Seek opportunities and provide recommendations to enhance technology and support systems and adopt a continuous improvement approach to all lab-based activities to improve safety, quality, speed, efficiency, and costs.
- Ensure reliable documentation of experiments and results in electronic notebooks and other documents in compliance with company policies and project needs.
- Demonstrate consistent leadership behaviors. Ensure all activities comply with appropriate health and safety legislation, company codes of practice and local rules. Promote a culture of safety and compliance among reports and colleagues.

**Qualification**:
MSc or BSc in Life Sciences related discipline with 1-3 years of relevant research experience with good track record.

**Experience**:
Skilled in various molecular and cell biology techniques. Basic experience with a broad range of cell-based assays platforms. Working knowledge in genomic platforms and/or mass spectrometry is a plus. A team player with excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills are a must.
