**Purpose of Role**

KYC Department under Middle Office is part of the Asian Investment Banking Division. It provides centralized KYC services to Global Corporate & Japanese Corporate clients including Corporates and Banks entity type. The responsibility of KYC team is to ensure all the bank's clients have gone through proper AML Checks and have all our MAS regulatory requirements met properly. With the increasing regulatory demand, there are key risk aspects as a Bank, we will need to balance between continuing to meet business demands, while making sure bank's risk appetite is protected while ensuring we deliver customer service excellence.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Maintain a strong AML and KYC understanding based on the current market practise and regulatory expectation in Singapore and APAC region.
- Keeping updated with global issues, risks and challenges that exposes a risk to the bank
- Be present and lead the KYC department through continuous improvement by collaborating with various internal stakeholders to achieve consistencies in the process
- Work closely with other APAC regions and Global counterpart to support global alignment in our KYC Processes
- Be a liaison from KYC team and working with various stakeholders to define / identify risk acceptance process (whenever applicable)
- Evaluate impacts to any new regulatory requirements imposed by regulators or new enhancement process introduced internally
- To be involved in policy updates and ensure KYC Operational Process steps is robust and align with Compliance's expectations.
- To guide and provide continuous training to internal KYC department.
- To work closely with Audit (internal and external) and support the KYC team accordingly
- Be involved and provide support to project team (Global or Local) to provide all the relevant AML expectation/ rules to ensure they are embedded into the any new enhancement
- Degree qualified
- Minimum 4 years in AML, KYC in corporate and investment banking or financial services industry, with 1-2 years in QC/QA
- Experience with SG MAS regulatory Requirements - MAS 626
- Knowledge about other regulatory requirement will be an added advantage.
- Experience in the End-To-End KYC Process
- Familiar with FATCA, Accredited Investors Recommendations will be an advantage
- Experienced in dealing with both Internal and External Audit
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with other functional teams
- Strong Team Player and meticulous individual
- Multi tasking and individual with positive mindset
