Enterprise Software Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Software Architect with over 15 years of expertise in designing and building large-scale, intelligent, and cloud-native systems.

This role is ideal for a technical leader who thrives at the intersection of enterprise architecture, distributed computing, and AI integration, with strong hands-on experience in Oracle ERP (Manufacturing) and modern digital platforms.

You will define and drive the architecture of high-performance systems that enable digital transformation across Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 environments.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**System Architecture**: Design, build, and optimize scalable and resilient systems using modern cloud-native technologies.

**ERP**: Configure, extend, and integrate Oracle Manufacturing ERP with Procurement, Inventory, Quality, and SCM modules. Customize ERP workflows and reports to align with manufacturing operations.

**Smart Manufacturing**: Solid understanding of Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 ecosystems, including the integration of IoT, AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and real-time data processing within manufacturing environments.

**AI/ML Integration**: Design and implement AI/ML models integrated into backend services and business logic. Support ML Ops, including model lifecycle, inference pipelines, and data pipelines.

**API & Service Design**: Architect RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems for frontend/mobile consumption. Build secure and observable backend systems that scale with usage.

**Performance & Reliability**: Ensure systems are highly available, secure, and performant through monitoring, load testing, and optimization.

**Data Engineering & ML Ops**: Build efficient data pipelines, support model training/inference workflows, and deploy ML models in production.

**Security & Compliance**: Implement best practices around authentication, data protection, and secure architecture design.

**Logical Reasoning & Critical Thinking**: Strong logical reasoning and critical thinking skills to analyze, optimize, and architect complex manufacturing systems in dynamic enterprise environments.

**Mentorship & Leadership**: Mentor and lead engineering teams, conduct code/design reviews, and drive best practices in software delivery. Partner cross-functionally with business, data, and product teams to align on roadmap and architecture.

**Tech Strategy & Innovation**: Stay up-to-date with industry trends in systems architecture, AI/ML, and cloud services; advocate for technology adoption and innovation.

**Travel**: This role requires frequent travel to manufacturing units in China and India to engage with on-ground teams, understand operational processes, and align enterprise systems with real-world manufacturing workflows.

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- 15+ years of experience in software engineering and systems architecture for large-scale, distributed platforms
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required
- Strong knowledge of Smart Manufacturing principles and Industry 4.0 technologies
- Deep expertise in Java, Python, SpringBoot, ReactJS, with strong system design and debugging skills
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud ERP in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain context.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML model building, integration, including inference pipelines and model lifecycle management.
- Deep understanding of API design, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, message queues, and distributed data systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry
- Security-first mindset: knowledge of authentication, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in agile teams
- Strong logical reasoning and critical thinking skills to analyze, optimize, and architect complex manufacturing systems in dynamic enterprise environments

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in Machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn)
- Experience in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience building recommendation systems, chatbots, or predictive services
- Knowledge of backend observability, circuit breaking, and self-healing systems
- Understanding of data governance, feature stores, and stream processing
- AWS and AI certifications are a plus
