Thales people architect solutions that support 85 million mainline and suburban passenger journeys, worldwide, every day. Thales established its presence in Singapore in 1973 to support the expansion of aerospace-related activities in the Asia-Pacific region. Thales today employs over 2,100 people in Singapore across all its business areas.
Communications Executive - 12 Months Contract
About the Job
The Communications team is looking to engage a professional, who’s bursting with creative ideas and enthusiasm, to support us in upcoming projects that help enhance our brand in Singapore and throughout the Asia region. The person will work closely with the Communications team and with other business functions to communicate across multiple channels (internal, external, social) on a diverse array of topics. This is a great opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of communications activities, from writing to content generation, video production and editing, design to events management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing and other content generation: internal articles, social media posts, short-form articles
- Pre-event and on-ground support at events, including exhibitions, trade shows, conferences and internal events
- Design work for posters, other collateral
- Creating simple video and digital content, including filming and editing
- Maintain and enhance current Thales GTS intranet site
- Administrative support for the Communications Department
- Work closely with Communications and HR on employer branding-related projects
- Work closely with communicators, project teams and press team to ensure timely communications on business news and achievements
Key requirements:
- University degree or equivalent experience with specialty in Communications, Marketing, International Trades, Government Relationships, Multimedia, Journalism, or Business Administration
- 1+ years of experience in Communications, public relations, journalism or related field
- Strong written and verbal communications skills - due to the international nature of the business, must be comfortable in writing in English; and be able to understand and operate comfortably in an international business environment.
- Experience organizing and executing employee events
- Proficient in digital communication tools and formats (video, podcasts, events, social media, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite)
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiastic and proactive, with a can-do attitude.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
