Associate Director of School Operations

XCL World Academy is seeking to recruit an **Associate Director of School Operations. **who is fully responsible for managing non-education-related activities within school operations.
The successful incumbent will strive to exceed internal and external customer expectations, capitalizing on the economic profit and return on capital investment while embracing the XCL Core Values. The role involves a comprehensive oversight of all school operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly learning environment.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Manage facility maintenance, either directly or through third-party providers.
- Oversee preventative maintenance schedules to ensure the smooth operation of all facilities.
- Supervise campus infrastructure (lighting, heating, air conditioning, playing field, tennis courts, etc).
- Oversee services like food and beverage, security, transport, cleaning, landscaping, and school health offices.
- Regularly review services to maintain professional standards.
- Possess complete knowledge with regulatory compliance on health and safety for the school and how they relate to students, staff, visitors, contractors and other users of school premises and facilities.
- Ensure effective health and safety risk management within the school.
- Conduct risk assessments for tools and hazards within school operations.
- Develop and implement risk assessment and loss prevention strategies.
- Act as the school’s health and safety coordinator and fire officer.
- Ensure emergency procedures are current and timely.
- Implement incremental or radical changes for increased value and reduced operational costs.
- Oversee asset register management and Third-Party contract services (KPI monitoring).
- Direct the annual budgeting and planning process for the organisation facilities budget.
- Prepare monthly variance analysis of administrative expenses, actuals vs budget, and forecast.
**Person Specifications**
- Minimum Degree / advanced Diploma or equivalent in School Business Management Administration or Facilities Management / Operations. Estate management skills would have an added advantage.
- 5 years of experience in a senior level position within a service-oriented industry.
- Fluent English communication skills written and verbal.
- Skilled in multitasking and handling pressure.
- Capable of influencing people and talented in networking with cultural sensitivity.
- Strong and consistent supervisory skills.
- Superb commercial acumen.
