The Logistics Manager will have the ability and vision of the business to set up effective long-term strategies and direction that successfully navigates the business through competitive waters. Duties and responsibilities include managing new and existing customers, overseeing daily operations including general sales as well as Managing and training a team of 4 to 5 members who will be directly under your care and stewardship.
Job Description/ Requirements
- Have extensive professional knowledge in Air and Sea Freight
- In depth knowledge in Import and Export, LCL and FCL Shipping
- Experience with Customs Declaration including all types of permit declaration
- Experience in handling customs matters
- Build all channels to generate sales pipelines and long-term customer relationships to foster revenue generation and growth opportunities.
- Maintain excellent service standards by monitoring customer satisfaction results, consistently measuring relevant KPIs, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions
- Cultivate strong relationships with regional and global partners, including negotiating terms and evaluating local providers in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for achieving operational and financial targets for team
- Manage staff in compliance with Company and Local policies, regulations and laws; prepare work schedule and assign duties in consonance with established
- Determine staffing requirements, train new employees, and work with the HR department to interview, and hire new employees
- Review sales activity reports, and other performance data, to measure productivity and goal achievement for use in executing required actions in cost reduction and program improvements.
- At least 5 years of work experience in the Freight Forwarding industry
- At least 3-5 years of experience in managerial position
- Excellent understanding of local and international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation
- Ability to effectively analyse, discover gaps and define necessary action plans
- Results-driven
- Superior negotiation, planning, and organisational skills
- Strong networking skills

- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
