**Job Roles and Responsibilities**:
As a dedicated part-time or full-time FECCE/ACEY Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for young children. Your responsibilities include:

- **Supporting Classroom Activities**:Assist the main teacher in planning, preparing, and implementing daily lessons and activities. Engage with children during playtime, circle time, and learning activities to ensure active participation.
- **Creating a Safe and Nurturing Environment**:Supervise children to ensure their safety during indoor and outdoor activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Help children develop positive behaviours and social skills, promoting kindness and cooperation.
- **Facilitating Daily Routines**:Assist children with daily routines such as eating, toileting, and transitioning between activities.
- **Observing and Reporting**:Observe children’s behaviours, progress, and any concerns, and report these to the main teacher. Help document children’s milestones and participation in activities for assessments and parent communication.
- **Collaborating with the Main Teacher**:Communicate regularly with the main teacher to align on classroom objectives and strategies. Assist in organizing materials, preparing resources, and setting up learning stations.
- **Interacting with Parents and Caregivers**Greet parents and caregivers during drop-offs and pick-ups, providing updates when needed.
Share feedback from the main teacher when appropriate, while maintaining confidentiality.

The assistant educator plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless, supportive, and engaging environment for the children, working closely with the main teacher to foster growth and development.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- FECCE/ACEY in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Passion for fostering children's growth and development.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and pedagogy.
- Effective communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability in the classroom.
- Previous experience in a preschool setting is preferred.
