**Job responsibilities**:
As an **Structural Engineer** **Intern**, you will have the opportunity

I. To have a basic understanding about
- Various types of offshore structures, in brief
- Overview of Topsides of an FPSO
- Role of a Structural Engineer in the design of Topsides
- Sequence of Structural Engineering Activities in a project
- Typical Structural Engineering Activities and Deliverables
- Governing documents in a project like Structural Design Basis, Structural Specifications and Structural Standard Detail Drawings
- Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Structural Steel arrangement in a Topsides Module
- Typical Structural Steel Grades used in offshore structures
- Internal and External interfaces for Structural Engineering

II. To participate and learn from typical Structural Engineering activities such as
- Perform structural analysis of steel structures using software like STAAD.Pro and SACS
- Perform Local design calculations (like design of deck plate, secondary beams / stringers, design of joint nodes and equipment support structures, etc.) using spreadsheets in Mathcad or Excel
- Prepare of Structural Design Input (SDI) for 3D Modelling
- Develop/update of tools such as spreadsheets for performing routine Structural Engineering calculations
- Review of the 3D model and Checking of Structural Drawings
- Develop / Update Structural Calculation Reports
- Discuss technical challenges in structural meetings
- Report work status to immediate supervisor
- Collaborate closely with other Engineering disciplines to provide and receive inputs to further engineering activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Third year or more of Engineering studies towards their Bachelor **of Civil Engineering degree** or equivalent

**Other skills**:

- Passion for designing and engineering
- Strong analytical skills, adaptability and willingness to learn
- Ability and willingness to work in a team environment to achieve project goals
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy in software such as MS Office
