The Project Officer will join a dynamic and growing research group at the Disaster Analytics for Society Lab, which is part of the Asian School of the Environment (ASE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), ranked 11th globally and 1st amongst the world's best young universities. The lab uses quantitative methods and interdisciplinary tools to assess the risk from natural hazards.

The project officer will support the research program through:

- administrative support (40%),
- internal and external communication (30%),
- research support (30%).

Key Responsibilities:
- Support administrative duties, including drafting progress reports, digital file management, equipment procurement, assisting with maintaining / updating website and other external communications, and meeting organization.- Assist with research activities, such as field visits, literature reviews, data collection, and other research tasks.- Conduct market research, assist in research communication, study regulatory requirements for disaster risk reporting and organize interactions with industry to support the commercialization grant.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as earth sciences, environmental science, civil engineering, business, communications, or related field.- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.- Quick learner who adapts easily to new and different tasks.- Proactive, well-organized, collaborative, and a team player with an interest in working with other researchers and scientists.-
- Preferably with experience in graphic design.
