As a Spatial Experience Designer, you will work on the ideation and delivery of spatial experiences that demonstrates various design disciplines including architecture, interior, landscape, graphic, interaction, and industrial design.

Your deep interest in this field means you are highly inquisitive about all things related to a physical experience. Flow and layout of spaces are your forte and you dream of intuitive wayfinding beyond just ergonomic requirements. Your aesthetic sense is neither trend based nor limited to traditional or exotic finishes but rooted in purpose and covers how lighting, acoustic, and other factors contribute to creating a complete experience.

You are naturally confident in HCD (Human Centred Design process) and your design intuition but your empathy to customer insights is what sets you apart. You are detail-oriented and forward thinking, with the tenacity and energy to solve complex challenges under potentially demanding constraints from the business, timelines, and vendors.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams, businesses, and support units to meet business requirements, customer needs, and physical considerations across the entire HCD process.
- Conduct research and facilitate discussions to understand business/industry requirements, technical constraints, user behaviour, and translate these ‘problems’ into intuitive and realistic design solutions.
- Conduct and participate in employee and customer interviews and synthesis sessions. Learn about employee and customer pain points, define hypothesis, and ensure subsequent solutions across disciplines from product design to interior design to architecture are grounded in business requirements, customer insights, and technical feasibility.
- Ideate and develop solutions using a breadth of 3D related skills and tools including sketches, 2D & 3D software (AutoCAD, SketchUp or Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma) for multi-fidelity layouts and visuals, and prototypes for testing.
- Develop detailed specifications and drawings and review tender and construction drawings to ensure design adherence and accommodate physical constraints.
- Manage the design process and project fit-out team including furniture evaluation, lighting layout, M&E requirements, AV coordination, and overall project schedule to ensure design integrity.
- Liaise with property services and external teams including consultants, specialists, and contractors to solve large on-site problems, VE, and prioritise workflows for the project team to deliver on time and within budget.
- Co-develop, apply, govern, and maintain spatial design specifications and standards. Rationalise design decisions and review critique objectively.
- Exchange design feedback, work with teammates to build knowledge and capabilities.

**Qualifications**

**You’ll excel because**
- You are an experienced spatial designer with at least 5-9 years of relevant experience backed by a degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field. Bonus points if you have proven experience in designing commercial and retail spaces that reflect brand values and enhance customer experience.
- You have strong skills with experience in spatial flows and planning with a refined ability to manage complex aesthetics. Even better if you have incorporated customer journeys, design thinking, business strategy, and experience measurements into your spatial solutions.
- You have good presentation and communication skills that lets you explain spatial design solutions to a group of cross-functional stakeholders. You can tell a powerful story.
- You are ambitious, technically inclined and committed to knowing how your proposals can theoretically be achieved and are prepared to work with specialists to resolve issues.
- You have strong project management skills and experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- You have experience working with and contributing to a spatial design system and documenting spatial requirements into a co
